SNACK OPTIONS

1. Protein Shake
2. Tuna in Spring water on Ryvita crackers
3. Avocado on Ryvita crackers
4. Ryvita crackers with homemade dips – Tzatiki, guacamole, beetroot etc.
5. Low-fat Cottage Cheese (great source of protein) – on Ryvita crackers
6. Low-fat Cottage Cheese mixed with egg whites to make an omelette – also add vegetables for extra flavour
7. Hardboiled egg sliced with spinach leaves and a drizzle of light mayonnaise served on
Ryvita crackers with a dash of pepper
8. Handful of almonds/walnuts/brazil nuts but don’t go overboard (just enough to cover
three fingers
9. At any time, more protein as a snack is great - you can have meat again - chicken /steak /kangaroo/turkey/lamb and fish (tuna/salmon tins are so cheap and convenient to keep in your bag
10. Celery with natural Peanut Butter (macro brand from woolworths Is great)
11. Handful of berries or small piece of fruit (Green Apples are great as they’re good for digestion. They’re also really sweet which help with those sugar cravings we all
tend to have at times)
TIP – Try to have your fruit near the beginning of the day as it does have natural sugars and this will allow time for those to be burnt off.
12. Yoghurt – Natural or Greek yoghurt is best for you
TIP – MIX WITH CHOC PROTEIN AND IT TASTES LIKE CHEESECAKE! : )
13. Smoothies
14. Homemade juice – use all FRESH ingredients (such as beetroot, celery, carrot, green apple, ginger, parsley and lemon – blend together and enjoy)
15. Asparagus wrapped in smoked salmon with some cottage cheese
17. Carrot and celery sticks with cottage cheese or dip
16. Green tea – helps to keep you busy if you are a person that likes to nibble
